Job Description
Position Overview:
The Ozarker Lodge, Branson, MO's award-winning boutique hotel, is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for an individual who is creative, sharp, motivated, and proactive, with a proven track record in hotel management and fostering successful team cultures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, and outstanding communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a diverse team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and support team members in achieving their goals.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
2. Operational Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and administration, to ensure seamless and efficient daily functioning.
Develop and implement effective operational procedures and protocols to enhance guest satisfaction and optimize resource utilization.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and identify areas for improvement to drive revenue growth and cost savings.
3. Guest Experience and Quality Assurance:
Maintain a relentless focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, consistently exceeding expectations and earning positive reviews.
Establish and enforce high-quality standards for service, cleanliness, and amenities throughout the property.
Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction.
4. Financial Management:
Develop and manage the hotel budget, forecasting revenue and expenses, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals, identify variances, and take corrective action as needed.
Explore opportunities for revenue enhancement, such as implementing upselling strategies and exploring new revenue streams.
5. Communication and Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with guests, staff, vendors, and local community stakeholders to enhance the hotel's reputation and foster goodwill.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates, soliciting feedback, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and community gatherings to promote brand awareness and establish strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in hotel management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of creating positive work cultures and motivating teams to achieve excellence.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically, make sound decisions, and resolve issues independently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
